At Great Langdale Glamping our luxury glamping pods feature luxurious wood-fired hot tubs.
The woodfired hot tubs give you an opportunity to admire the panoramic scenery or simply spend the evening star gazing in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
They say there are many relaxation benefits to wood fired hot tubs - soaking in a tub can help reduce stress, muscle tension & fatigue. The heat helps to release endorphins in your body and can help your skin produce a rosy glow. It does this by opening your pores and accelerating the blood circulation. This means you blood can deliver oxygen and nutrients to you skin more effectively.
Not only do wood fired hot tubs provide relaxation benefits, they provide a few health benefits as well. These hot tubs can help lower your blood pressure and increase your heart rate, because the warm water will increase your body temperature. They can help relieve arthritis symptoms by relaxing your muscles and joints while you are soaking. Just perfect after a hard day on the fells.
There is no charge extra for use of the hot tubs during your stay with us - the only additional consideration, should you wish to use them, would be for the wood. If you have already pre-purchased fire pit or log burner wood, then we are happy to swap it over for you or alternatively you may purchase some more when you are here onsite. We respectfully remind visitors that only wood supplied by GLG can be used.
The wood fired hot tubs use just over a bag of wood to heat and it takes around an hour & half to do so. Thereafter, providing that the insulated lid is kept on, the hot tub will stay tepid for the duration of your stay and should only take around half a bag of wood to bring back to the optimum temperature.
Please note, in adverse weather conditions, especially high winds, the hot tubs will unfortunately be unavailable for use.
Please feel free to bring your slippers or flip flops & robes.
